# TI LM331N/NOPB: Precision Voltage-to-Frequency Converter to 100 kHz The LM331N/NOPB is a precision voltage-to-frequency converter in an 8-PDIP, specified to about 100 kHz full-scale with roughly ±0.01% linearity class performance on a single 5–28 V supply. V/F conversion remains useful for isolated data links, simple ADCs via frequency counting, and noise-immune sensor telemetry. Set the timing network from the datasheet examples and guard the analog input against RF pickup. Prefer the /NOPB lead-free tube pack for new production. If the design moves to SMT, evaluate newer V/F or timer-based alternatives and re-validate temperature drift (±150 ppm/°C full-scale class).
